Mission & Vision

Mission Statement

S.H.A.D. is a humanitarian non-profit organization aimed at providing services, support and education for low income; impoverish Haitian women and their unborn babies living with the HIV/AIDS. To address related health problems and combat associated stigma and discrimination. To ensure that our clients affected by this virus receive a broad spectrum of services that meets their holistic needs and enhance their lives to a normal, highest level of wellness or close to normal life, and decrease the yearly death rate.

Vision Statement

S.H.A.D.'s philosophy is to be the best care provider of HIV/AIDS in the affected underprivileged women population age 14-45 and their unborn babies in Port-de-Paix, Northwest Haiti. To attain this goal, we will operate with highly trained staff and great accountability. Our motto is to change the trend in the management of the disease because life doesn’t have to end with a diagnosis. S.H.A.D. will ensure that our patients return to productive lives in their respective communities, by providing support, counseling, education, treatment and resources necessary for an easy readjustment. We aim at decreasing the spreading of the virus, the yearly death rate in that population and promote a better quality of life.
